When I was 9 years old I used to go to Mrs. Perry’s house. She was a retired missionary. She would show my friends and I how to make Things on her old black peddle sewing machine. She would enter into the county fair the things we made. When I was 11 she entered one of my paintings I got best of show. She was so nice to have us over. What true Christian love she had.

This happy cat is in the business of inspecting bird houses. I have two orange cats. They are so nice, but they live for bird watching. The red apples and Queen Anne’s lace flowers are things I love to paint.

This painting has the scripture; Jesus said “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." --

I have always loved to watch chickens and roosters. My cousin David always had so many different kinds we would laugh at how when you scratch the ground they think you found a worm . I had nine of them as pets my children and I really enjoyed them.

I love flowers, old houses, quilts, and my two daughters Amy and Jessica who were my sweet models for this painting; they are always picking flowers.

They planted the most beautiful rose garden this year. And when one of the bushes was between blooming Amy put some fake roses on it. We love flowers.

At Christmas time, my favorite flowers are poinsettias and paperwhites. They complement each other so well and the paperwhites smell so good.  I wrote "HOPE" on this painting, because Jesus birth gave hope to all the world.

My Ball jar is what inspired this old fashioned kitchen scene. My Aunt Opal in Arkansas gave it to me a long time ago. The little painting on the wall by the stove is of her town. She is very special to me!

The little girl snapping beans is my dear niece Karen Ann. Notice the cats and mice in the house. My daughters Jessica and Amy told me to put some mice in the kitchen.  Aunt Opal was the very best cook and her home was warm and friendly like this Country Kitchen. Under the stove is the verse from the book of Job; The Lord giveth the Lord taketh away, blessed be the name of the Lord!
